1987 `F` VAUXHALL CAVALIER 1.6 L
MILEAGE : 60,481
COLOUR : HELIOS BLUE METALLIC
ENGINE : 1598 4 CYLINDER 90 BHP
A stunning original example, This low mileage (60k) car has been loved and pampered and even has the original Vauxhall wheel trims, There is no rust and the interior is just like new!
This Cavalier looks just like they did back in 1987, with zero rust and original rear arches you would not find a better example for sale today. Finished in the beautiful Helios Blue paintwork this is a worthy show winner.
The grey crushed velour trim is a sight to behold and still looks and feels factory fresh with no wear whatsoever on the seats trims or any of the plastics. The carpets are unworn and the original radio cassette still works just fine. The dashboard has no marks or cracks and the car has that pleasant & distinctive smell that Vauxhalls used to have.
Peppy performance from the 90 BHP 1.6 engine and a slick 5 speed gearbox this Cavalier is from an age when cars used to ride properly. There are no trim rattles and everything feels tight and how it should be.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This has 4 new tyres as the originals were cracked due to age. the wheels are standard 13" steels with original and pristine `L` model wheel trims it came out of the factory with.
With a tilt, slide factory glass sunroof, velour trim and a radio cassette its not exactly a Lexus but it feels pleasant inside as the velour trim really does add a dash of style to the cabin as only 80`s velour can.
This car was company owned from new and driven by the same gentleman who bought it from the company when he retired. It sat from 1993 as he took ill and was never able to drive it again.
It came out of hiding in the garage in 2015 when a local Vauxhall enthusiast got it and never got round to driving it much so was then sold to us in 2017. This was going to be kept in our collection as my second car was a MK2 Cavalier and I love them. Sadly I just do not have the time or the space to keep it and i will be gutted to see her go! It has an MOT until August 2020 and full service history all stamped in the Vauxhall service book. The last service was completed at 60k.
